Google Pay Flex Axis Bank Credit Card is lifetime free. What Axis publishes about it, what it does not, and why that matters. Fees and FAQs.
The Google Pay Flex card is lifetime free and aimed at people who already run their payments through Google Pay.
This review is short because the published material is. Inventing the missing figures would be worse than naming the gap.

Reward Structure: How You Earn
No earn rate is published for this card anywhere in Axis's captured material. The product page carries fee and eligibility text and nothing on rewards. That is a genuine gap, not an omission from this review.
No general earn rate is published for this card in Axis's captured material. Any structured comparison will show 0%, which is a placeholder for unknown — not a statement that the card earns nothing. Ask Axis directly before relying on it either way.
| Spend | Effective rate |

| Everything else | 0.0% |
| Fuel, rent, wallet loads, government, gaming | **0%** |
Category Restrictions: Where You Won't Earn
- Where you earn nothing: Earns nothing at all: fuel; rent (MCC 6513); wallet loads (MCC 6540); government institution transactions (MCC 9222, 9311, 9399, 9402); cash withdrawals; EMI conversions; gift card purchases and toll, bridge and road fees (both excluded w.e.f. 28 August 2026); and fees, charges, GST and reversals. Insurance, utilities, telecom, education and jewellery are excluded on some cards only — the per-card notes say which.
- Point expiry: EDGE Reward Points and EDGE Miles expire 36 months from the date of accrual unless the card's own terms say otherwise. Points are forfeited if the card is closed, and a NEGATIVE point balance at closure is converted to a statement debit the cardholder must pay.
- Redemption fee: ₹199 per redemption.

Is the Google Pay Flex Axis Bank Credit Card Worth It?
Being free removes most of the risk, which is fortunate, because there is very little to go on.
Ask Axis what it earns before you apply. A lifetime-free card tied to Google Pay could be a good secondary card or could earn nothing at all — the published material does not settle it.
Compare against ACE, which is well-documented, pays an uncapped 1.5% and costs ₹499 waived at ₹2 lakh.
