Miles & More Axis Bank World Credit Card earns 4 Lufthansa Award Miles per ₹200 directly into Miles & More — not into an Axis currency that you then transfer.

That distinction matters more in 2026 than it used to, because it means this card sidesteps the April 2026 EDGE transfer devaluation entirely.

Reward Structure: How You Earn

Award Miles are valued at ₹0.50 here, which is an estimate — Miles & More publishes no rupee rate, and a mile's worth depends on route, cabin and award availability. Treat every percentage below as indicative.

Earning directly into Miles & More is the structural advantage. Axis cardholders on the EDGE programme saw their transfer ratios cut four-fold on 2 April 2026 when Accor, Marriott and Qatar were replaced by partners at 2:1. This card never touches that mechanism.

Miles & More is also the one partner still converting 1:1 from Axis EDGE Miles on Atlas, with its own ceiling of 2,00,000 partner miles a year — so the programme is treated unusually well across the whole Axis range.

Category Restrictions: Where You Won't Earn

  • Where you earn nothing: Earns nothing at all: fuel; rent (MCC 6513); wallet loads (MCC 6540); government institution transactions (MCC 9222, 9311, 9399, 9402); cash withdrawals; EMI conversions; gift card purchases and toll, bridge and road fees (both excluded w.e.f. 28 August 2026); and fees, charges, GST and reversals. Insurance, utilities, telecom, education and jewellery are excluded on some cards only — the per-card notes say which.
  • Point expiry: EDGE Reward Points and EDGE Miles expire 36 months from the date of accrual unless the card's own terms say otherwise. Points are forfeited if the card is closed, and a NEGATIVE point balance at closure is converted to a statement debit the cardholder must pay.
  • Redemption fee: ₹199 per redemption.

Is the Miles & More Axis Bank World Credit Card Worth It?

At ₹3,500 with no published fee waiver, this is a card for a committed Lufthansa flyer and nobody else. The fee recurs annually and the miles have no use outside the programme.

4 complimentary domestic lounge visits per quarter is a substantial allowance at this tier.

The valuation is the weak point of any comparison. Redeem well — long-haul business class at the right time — and a mile can be worth several rupees. Redeem badly and it is worth well under the ₹0.50 assumed here. No single number is honest for this kind of currency.

Both Miles & More variants share one scraped source in this dataset, so the lounge figures in particular carry some risk of cross-contamination between the two cards. The earn rates are separately stated and reliable.
