My Zone is a ₹500 entry card earning 0.4%, sold on its entertainment and dining offers rather than its points.

The earn rate is low and stating it plainly is the honest starting point: at 0.4%, ₹1 lakh of spending returns ₹400.

Reward Structure: How You Earn

EDGE Reward Points are worth ₹0.20 on the Gift EDGE portal — Axis states the rate directly. Every percentage here is stated after that conversion, which is why the point counts look larger than the returns.

4 EDGE Reward Points per ₹200 on all eligible spends — 0.4%.

Axis changed this card on 28 August 2026. Gift-card purchases and toll, bridge and road fees stopped earning rewards and stopped counting toward milestones and the annual fee waiver.

The ₹1.5 lakh annual milestone has been withdrawn. Axis's own terms state the 1,000-point benefit on annual spends of ₹1,50,000 'will be discontinued from 1st Apr 2026'. That date has passed. Any comparison site still listing it is out of date, and it is not recorded here.

The entertainment benefit tightens on 1 November 2026 — it will require ₹25,000 of spend across the previous three calendar months, where today it is unconditional.

Category Restrictions: Where You Won't Earn

  • Where you earn nothing: Earns nothing at all: fuel; rent (MCC 6513); wallet loads (MCC 6540); government institution transactions (MCC 9222, 9311, 9399, 9402); cash withdrawals; EMI conversions; gift card purchases and toll, bridge and road fees (both excluded w.e.f. 28 August 2026); and fees, charges, GST and reversals. Insurance, utilities, telecom, education and jewellery are excluded on some cards only — the per-card notes say which.
  • Point expiry: EDGE Reward Points and EDGE Miles expire 36 months from the date of accrual unless the card's own terms say otherwise. Points are forfeited if the card is closed, and a NEGATIVE point balance at closure is converted to a statement debit the cardholder must pay.
  • Redemption fee: ₹199 per redemption.

Is the Axis Bank My Zone Credit Card Worth It?

Judge it on the offers, not the 0.4%. The card's value is in capped monthly discounts — dining, movie tickets, food delivery — each with its own ceiling around ₹120 to ₹400 a month. Used fully those are worth several times the ₹500 fee. Ignored, the card returns ₹400 on ₹1 lakh of spending.

No annual fee waiver is published for this card, so treat the fee as a fixed annual cost.

Gift cards and tolls stopped earning on 28 August 2026 — a small change on a card at this rate, but it also removes them from any fee-waiver calculation.
