Axis Bank Privilege Easy Credit Card is a ₹1,500 lifestyle card earning a flat 1%, with two domestic lounge visits a quarter and a 10,000-point milestone worth ₹2,000.

This is the fixed-deposit-backed variant. It is issued against a deposit rather than on an income assessment, which makes it reachable for people without a credit history — students, the newly employed, or anyone rebuilding. The reward structure is the same as the mainline Privilege card.

Reward Structure: How You Earn

EDGE Reward Points are worth ₹0.20 on the Gift EDGE portal — Axis states the rate directly. Every percentage here is stated after that conversion.

10 EDGE Reward Points per ₹200 on all eligible spends — 1%.

Axis changed this card on 28 August 2026. Gift-card purchases and toll, bridge and road fees stopped earning rewards and stopped counting toward milestones and the annual fee waiver.

The DCC markup more than doubled on 28 August 2026, from 1.5% to 3.5%. If a foreign terminal offers to bill you in rupees, decline — that is the charge you would be accepting.

The entertainment benefit tightens on 1 November 2026. From that date it requires ₹25,000 of spend across the previous three calendar months, with interest, fees and refunds excluded. It is currently unconditional, so this is a real narrowing.

The milestone threshold should be verified before you rely on it. Axis's pages describe the 10,000-point benefit as sitting at ₹2.5 lakh of annual spend in one place and give an incomplete figure elsewhere. ₹2,50,000 is recorded here as the best reading of the published material.

Category Restrictions: Where You Won't Earn

  • Where you earn nothing: Earns nothing at all: fuel; rent (MCC 6513); wallet loads (MCC 6540); government institution transactions (MCC 9222, 9311, 9399, 9402); cash withdrawals; EMI conversions; gift card purchases and toll, bridge and road fees (both excluded w.e.f. 28 August 2026); and fees, charges, GST and reversals. Insurance, utilities, telecom, education and jewellery are excluded on some cards only — the per-card notes say which.
  • Point expiry: EDGE Reward Points and EDGE Miles expire 36 months from the date of accrual unless the card's own terms say otherwise. Points are forfeited if the card is closed, and a NEGATIVE point balance at closure is converted to a statement debit the cardholder must pay.
  • Redemption fee: ₹199 per redemption.

Is the Axis Bank Privilege Easy Credit Card Worth It?

At ₹1,500 waived at ₹5 lakh, this is a reasonable mid-range card — the waiver is achievable for anyone putting most of their spending on it.

1% in EDGE Reward Points is the market median and no better. The value sits in the milestone (₹2,000), the lounge access (8 domestic visits a year) and the entertainment benefits, not in the earn rate.

The entertainment benefit becomes conditional on 1 November 2026, which removes some of that value for anyone whose spending is uneven.

As a secured card it is unusually well-specified. Most FD-backed cards in India are stripped down; this one carries the full Privilege reward structure, the lounge access and a 12,500-point welcome benefit worth ₹2,500.
