Regalia Activ is the Regalia card with a wellness wrapper. The earning engine is identical to Regalia — 4 Reward Points per ₹200 at ₹0.50, a 1% base — and what you are paying the difference for is fitness and health benefits rather than any change in the reward maths.

Reward Structure: How You Earn
The card earns 4 Reward Points per ₹200 — 1% at the ₹0.50 SmartBuy travel rate, the same engine as Regalia proper.
HDFC moved this card from ₹150 to ₹200 earning blocks on 15 May 2026 — a 25% cut to accrual with no change to point value. Sources still quoting a ₹150 basis are out of date.
| Spend | Effective rate |
|---|---|
| Everything else | 1.0% |
| Fuel, rent, wallet loads, government, gaming | **0%** |
The caps that actually bind
Headline rates mean little until you know where they stop. These are the limits on this card:
| Cap | Limit |
|---|---|
| Upi | 500 points per calendar month |
Judge this card on the wellness benefits, not the rewards. The reward structure gives you no reason to prefer it over Regalia or Regalia Gold. If the bundled fitness memberships are things you would otherwise pay for, the card makes sense; if not, Regalia Gold earns 63% more for the same money.
Milestone Benefits
| Spend | Benefit | Value |
|---|---|---|
| ₹5 lakh a year | 10,000 bonus Reward Points | ₹5,000 |
| ₹8 lakh a year | 5,000 additional bonus Reward Points | ₹2,500 |
Category Restrictions: Where You Won't Earn
- Where you earn nothing: Earns nothing at all: fuel; EasyEMI and e-wallet loading; rent, property management, maintenance and packers-and-movers; government transactions; education paid through third-party apps such as CRED, Cheq or MobiKwik (paying a college or school directly still earns); and online skill-based gaming. Points are also REVERSED if a retail transaction is later converted to SmartEMI.
- Point expiry: Reward Points are valid for 24 months from accrual and lapse thereafter — HDFC states 'Unredeemed Reward Points will expire/lapse after 2 years of accumulation'.
- Redemption fee: ₹99 per redemption.
- Upi cap: 500 Reward Points per calendar month on UPI spends — binding at just ₹25,000 of UPI spend at the 4-points-per-₹200 base rate. Applies to the RuPay variant, which is the one that can be linked to UPI.

Is the HDFC Bank Regalia Activ Credit Card Worth It?
The wellness benefits are the entire case. On rewards alone Regalia Gold beats this card decisively — 1.63% against 1% at a comparable fee.
Do the arithmetic on the memberships. A gym or wellness subscription you would buy anyway can easily be worth more than the 0.63 percentage points you give up. One you will not use is worth nothing, and most bundled fitness benefits go unused.
Everything else is Regalia. Same 50,000-point Fair Usage ceiling per statement cycle, same two-year point expiry, same SmartEMI reversal rule, same lounge structure.
