The ICICI Coral is the bank's entry lifestyle card: ₹500 a year, 2 Reward Points per ₹100, one domestic lounge visit a quarter and a milestone ladder worth up to ₹2,500 a year.

Two things shape it more than the earn rate. ICICI will not say what a point is worth, and the bank rewrote its reward caps in February 2026.

Reward Structure: How You Earn

ICICI does not publish what a Reward Point is worth. Not in its Most Important Terms, not in the card terms, and not on its own rewards page, which lists redemption categories without a single conversion rate. This review uses ₹0.25, the third-party consensus for statement-credit and catalogue redemption. Every percentage below therefore rests on a figure the bank itself will not state — treat them as indicative, not exact.

2 Reward Points per ₹100 on retail spends — about 0.5%. 1 Reward Point per ₹100 on utility and insurance — half that.

From 15 January 2026 fuel and e-wallet loads earn nothing on ICICI cards. The Parakram cards are the only exception on fuel; the Amazon Pay card the only exception on wallets. New fees arrived the same day: 1% on wallet loads of ₹5,000 or more, 2% on skill-based gaming, 1% on transportation above ₹50,000, and ₹3,500 one-time for every new add-on card.

The caps that actually bind

Headline rates mean little until you know where they stop. These are the limits on this card:

CapLimit
Utility40,000 points per calendar month
Insurance40,000 points per calendar month
Grocery20,000 points per calendar month
Transport10,000 points per calendar month

From 1 February 2026 ICICI caps rewards by a SPEND ceiling, not a points ceiling. That distinction matters: once you pass the ceiling in a capped category, further spending in it earns nothing at all that cycle, rather than dropping to a lower rate. Grocery, utility, insurance, education and transportation are all capped this way, at levels set by card tier.

On this card's tier the ceilings are ₹40,000 of utility, ₹40,000 of insurance, ₹20,000 of grocery and ₹10,000 of transportation per statement cycle.

The BookMyShow buy-one-get-one is now spend-gated — it requires ₹25,000 of spend in the previous calendar quarter, where it used to be unconditional. A new cardholder gets nothing in their first quarter.

Is the ICICI Bank Coral Credit Card Worth It?

The milestone is worth more than the base rate. 2,000 Reward Points at ₹2 lakh of spend, then 1,000 for every further ₹1 lakh, to a maximum of 10,000 points — about ₹2,500 a year, against a ₹500 fee. That is the case for the card.

At 0.5% the everyday earning is weak and will not compete with a flat cashback card. The Amazon Pay ICICI card is lifetime free and pays 1% on general spends — double this, for nothing.

Milestone and welcome benefits are released only after the fee has actually been paid. If your annual fee is waived, you forfeit them. Rent, government and education spends also do not count toward either the fee waiver or the milestones.

The ₹20,000 grocery ceiling is the one most households will hit. Past it, grocery earns nothing for the rest of the cycle.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)

What is the ICICI Coral earn rate? 2 Reward Points per ₹100 on retail spends and 1 per ₹100 on utility and insurance — about 0.5% and 0.25% at the ₹0.25 working valuation.

What is an ICICI Reward Point worth? ICICI does not publish a rate. ₹0.25 is the third-party consensus for statement credit and catalogue redemption. The only card for which ICICI states a rupee value is Times Black, at ₹0.40.

What is the milestone benefit? 2,000 Reward Points on ₹2 lakh of spend, then 1,000 more for every additional ₹1 lakh, to a maximum of 10,000 points — about ₹2,500 — per anniversary year.

What changed in February 2026? Rewards on grocery, utility, insurance, education and transportation became capped by a spend ceiling per statement cycle. On this card's tier that is ₹40,000 of utility, ₹40,000 of insurance, ₹20,000 of grocery and ₹10,000 of transportation. Past the ceiling those categories earn nothing.

Do I still get the BookMyShow buy-one-get-one? Only if you spent ₹25,000 in the previous calendar quarter. The benefit became spend-gated in 2026.

Is there a fee waiver? Yes, at ₹2 lakh of annual spend — but rent, government and education spends do not count toward it, and a waived fee forfeits the milestone benefits.
