Reward Structure: How You Earn
RBL values a Reward Point at ₹0.25 — its own working figure rather than a published redemption table. Several RBL cards use a different value, so point counts are not comparable across the range without checking.
10% cashback at Patanjali stores, capped at ₹200 a month. 1 Reward Point per ₹100 on everything else — 0.25%.
RBL stopped paying rewards on a whole category block on 13 November 2023 — Fuel & Auto, Utilities, Insurance, Quasi-Cash, Real Estate and Rental, Education, and Wallets. The same list is excluded from milestone spend.
| Spend | Effective rate |
|---|---|
| Patanjali stores (capped at 200 points a month) | **10.0%** |
| Everything else | 0.25% |
| Fuel, rent, wallet loads, government, gaming | **0%** |
The caps that actually bind
Headline rates mean little until you know where they stop. These are the limits on this card:
| Cap | Limit |
|---|---|
| Patanjali | 200 points per calendar month |
The Patanjali cap binds at ₹2,000 of Patanjali spend a month — ₹200 of value, so about ₹2,400 a year at most.
RBL revised this card's milestone thresholds with effect from 10 May 2026. Its own terms say so explicitly, so any comparison page carrying an older threshold is out of date.
RBL rounds down on every transaction. A ₹350 spend at 1 point per ₹100 earns 3 points and the ₹50 is lost — every time, not cumulatively.
Milestone Benefits
| Spend | Benefit | Value |
|---|---|---|
| ₹3 lakh a year | ₹1,500 Patanjali voucher | ₹1,500 |
Category Restrictions: Where You Won't Earn
- Where you earn nothing: Earns nothing at all: Fuel & Auto, Utilities, Insurance, Quasi-Cash, Real Estate and Rental, Education, and Wallets and Service Providers — RBL's own category list, excluded from earning AND from milestone spend calculation, with effect from 13 November 2023. Railways and Government are excluded on some cards additionally. Base Reward Points are also NOT accrued on EMI conversion of retail transactions, including Split-N-Pay and EMI requests placed at the point of sale.
- Point expiry: Reward Points expire after the validity period RBL prescribes and are forfeited on card closure. Points transferred to a partner programme are governed by that programme's expiry rules, not RBL's.
- Redemption fee: ₹99 per redemption.
- Patanjali cap: ₹200 a month of Patanjali cashback — binding at ₹2,000 of Patanjali spend.

Is the RBL Bank Patanjali Swarn Credit Card Worth It?
The milestone is a ₹1,500 Patanjali voucher on ₹3 lakh of annual spend.
At 0.25% the base rate is among the lowest in this collection, so this card only makes sense if your Patanjali spending is regular. ₹2,000 a month there returns ₹200; below that, proportionally less.
The RuPay-on-UPI capability is the quiet advantage. Very few credit cards earn on QR-code payments at all.
1 complimentary domestic lounge visit per quarter rounds it out.
The ₹1,499 fee is waived at ₹300,000 of annual spend — but the fuel, utilities, insurance, rent, education and wallet block does not count toward it.
