Titan SBI Card Review 2026: 7.5% at Titan Stores, 1.5% Everywhere Else, ₹45,000 Quarterly Caps & FAQ
Titan SBI Card costs ₹2,999 and pays 7.5% at World of Titan, 5% at CaratLane and Mia, 3% at Tanishq and an uncapped 1.5% everywhere else. The three quarterly caps sum to ₹45,000. Full maths, fees and FAQs.
The Titan SBI Card is unusual among retail co-brands: it pays a genuinely good rate off-brand. The 1.5% uncapped base rate — 6 Reward Points per ₹100 — is one of the strongest in SBI's whole range, and it applies to everything outside Titan's stores. Most retail co-brands pay a token rate away from their own tills.
On-brand it pays 7.5% at World of Titan and its siblings, 5% at CaratLane, Mia and Zoya, and 3% at Tanishq, under three separate quarterly caps that sum to ₹45,000 a quarter.

The Three Brand Rates Are Three Different Benefits
Read this carefully, because SBI's marketing presents them as one ladder and they are not:
| Brands | Rate | Paid as | Quarterly cap | Binds at |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| World of Titan, Taneira, Titan Eye+, Helios, Fastrack, Skinn, Irth, Sonata | **7.5%** | **Cashback** | ₹10,000 | ~₹1,33,333 of spend |
| CaratLane, Mia, Zoya | **5%** | **Cashback** | ₹10,000 | ₹2,00,000 of spend |
| **Tanishq** | **3%** | **Titan gift vouchers** | ₹25,000 | ~₹8,33,333 of spend |
Tanishq pays in gift vouchers, not cash. Those vouchers are redeemable at Titan stores. If you buy jewellery at Tanishq and would happily spend the voucher on a watch, that is fine. If you would not, a ₹25,000 voucher is worth considerably less than ₹25,000 to you. The 7.5% and 5% bands pay genuine cashback; the Tanishq band does not.
The caps are cashback figures, not spend figures
This matters and it is easy to get backwards. SBI's Titan FAQ states them as "Maximum Cashback" — so ₹10,000 on the 7.5% band means ₹10,000 of benefit, reached at roughly ₹1,33,333 of spend in that band per quarter.
The three caps are separate, not shared, and they sum to ₹45,000 a quarter — SBI states that total outright. That is ₹1,80,000 a year from the brand bands alone, which is a high ceiling by any standard.
Past a band's cap, the 6-point base rate continues — the rate falls to 1.5%, not to zero.
None of these caps appears on SBI's product page, which says only "quarterly cap applicable" three times. The figures come from SBI's own Titan FAQ PDF, an issuer document.
A gap in the merchant coverage
Of the twelve brands named, only Titan, Tanishq and CaratLane are resolvable merchants in the underlying data used by comparison engines. Taneira, Titan Eye+, Helios, Fastrack, Skinn, Irth, Sonata, Mia and Zoya have no distinct merchant identity, so automated calculators will score spend at those brands at the 1.5% base rate rather than 7.5% or 5%. The card pays correctly; the models understate it.
The 1.5% Base Rate Is the Quiet Headline
6 Reward Points per ₹100 on everything outside Titan's brands, uncapped.
At ₹0.25 a point that is 1.5% — better than SBI Card PRIME's 0.5% base, better than ELITE's 0.5%, and applying to all spend rather than four categories. For a retail co-brand that is remarkable; most pay 0.25% or less away from their own stores.
It means the Titan SBI Card works as a primary everyday card in a way most co-brands do not.
Welcome Benefit and Milestones
Welcome: 12,000 Reward Points, worth ₹3,000, credited on payment of the annual fee. SBI's own description confirms the ₹0.25 valuation arithmetically. That covers the ₹2,999 fee in year one.
Milestones:
| Annual spend | Benefit | Value |
|---|---|---|
| ₹5,00,000 | Additional gift voucher | ₹5,000 |
| ₹10,00,000 | Additional gift voucher | ₹10,000 |
| **Both** | **₹15,000** |
Both milestone vouchers are redeemable only at exclusive Titan stores. The face values are what SBI states, but a cardholder who does not buy watches or jewellery realises considerably less than ₹15,000 from them.
Note also, from SBI's FAQ: store-to-store transfers and cash withdrawals do not count towards the annual spend calculation for either the milestones or the fee reversal.
Lounge Access
- 8 complimentary domestic airport lounge visits a year, maximum 2 per quarter
- 4 complimentary international visits a year, maximum 2 per quarter
Both on a complimentary Priority Pass membership that lasts the first two years only — SBI states this explicitly. The four international visits presumably lapse with it, though SBI does not say so. On a ₹2,999 card whose fee does not reduce, ask what happens in year three.
Worked Example
Illustrative, at ₹50,000 a month — ₹6 lakh a year, clearing the fee reversal and the first milestone:
| Category | Monthly spend | Rate | Value |
|---|---|---|---|
| World of Titan / Fastrack / Titan Eye+ | ₹4,000 | 7.5% | ₹300 |
| Tanishq | ₹5,000 | 3% (vouchers) | ₹150 |
| Everything else | ₹39,000 | 1.5% | ₹585 |
| Fuel and utilities | ₹2,000 | 0% | ₹0 |
| **Monthly total** | **₹50,000** | **₹1,035 — 2.07%** |
Annual tally:
| Rewards and cashback earned | ₹12,420 |
|---|---|
| Milestone voucher at ₹5 lakh | ₹5,000 |
| Welcome points (year one) | ₹3,000 |
| **Year-one total** | **₹20,420** |
| **Steady state** | **₹17,420** |
| Annual fee | **₹0** (reversed at ₹3 lakh) |
| **Effective return** | **2.9% of spend** |
Plus 8 domestic and 4 international lounge visits, not counted.
Note how much comes from the base rate: ₹7,020 of the ₹12,420, from spending that has nothing to do with Titan. That is the card's real character.
Where You Won't Earn
SBI names the exclusions: fuel, wallet upload, property rental and utilities, plus cash advances.
| Excluded | MCCs |
|---|---|
| Fuel | 5172, 5541, 5542, 5983 |
| Wallet loading | 6540, 6541 |
| Rent and property management | 6513, 7349 |
| Utilities | 4814, 4816, 4899, 4900 |
The fuel surcharge waiver is the whole fuel benefit: 1% reversed on transactions between ₹500 and ₹3,000, capped at ₹100 per statement cycle.
SBI's range-wide transaction fees apply: ₹199 per rent payment, 1% on wallet loads above ₹1,000, 1% on utility payments once the cycle total passes ₹50,000, and 1% on education payments through third-party apps. Note that rent, wallet loads and utilities are *excluded from rewards and carry their own fee* on this card.
Fees and Charges
| Charge | Amount |
|---|---|
| Joining fee | ₹2,999 + GST |
| Renewal fee | ₹2,999 + GST, reversed at ₹3,00,000 annual spend |
| Add-on card fee | Nil |
| Finance charge | 3.75% per month — **45% per annum** |
| Interest-free period | 20 to 50 days; none if any part of last month's bill is unpaid |
| Forex markup | 3.5% |
| Cash advance fee | 2.5%, minimum ₹500 |
| Fuel surcharge waiver | 1% on ₹500–₹3,000, max ₹100 per cycle |
| Late payment | ₹100 to ₹1,300 by balance |
| Overlimit | 2.5%, minimum ₹600 |
| Reward redemption fee | ₹99 on physical products, statement credit and physically-sent vouchers |
| GST | 18% on all of the above |
One more thing from SBI's FAQ that the product page omits: SBI distinguishes "Offer Cashback" — seasonal campaign offers — from the standing rates above. Campaign terms can differ, so read a seasonal offer's own conditions rather than assuming the quarterly caps apply.
Titan SBI Card vs SBI Card PRIME
Both sit at around ₹3,000. The comparison is instructive.
| **Titan SBI Card** | SBI Card PRIME | |
|---|---|---|
| Annual fee | ₹2,999 | ₹2,999 |
| Fee reversal | ₹3,00,000 | ₹3,00,000 |
| **Base rate** | **1.5% uncapped** | 0.5% |
| Accelerated | 7.5% / 5% / 3% at Titan brands | 2.5% on 4 everyday categories, uncapped |
| Utility standing instruction | Excluded | 5% |
| Welcome | ₹3,000 of points | ₹3,000 voucher |
| Milestones | ₹15,000 (Titan-store vouchers) | ₹11,000 (Pizza Hut + Yatra/Pantaloons) |
| Domestic lounge | 8 a year | 8 a year |
| International lounge | 4 a year (2 years only) | 4 a year |
Titan wins on base rate by three to one. PRIME wins if your spending concentrates in grocery, dining, movies and departmental stores, and its milestone vouchers are far more widely usable than Titan-store-only ones. If your spending is varied, Titan's 1.5% on everything is hard to beat at this price.
Is the Titan SBI Card Worth It?
Yes, if you buy from Titan brands at all. 7.5% at World of Titan with a ₹10,000 quarterly cap is a strong rate, and the caps are high enough that most shoppers will never hit them.
Yes, even if you don't. The uncapped 1.5% base rate makes this a credible primary card on its own — better than most SBI cards at any price on general spending.
Read the Tanishq band carefully. 3% in Titan gift vouchers is not 3% in cash, and on a large jewellery purchase the difference is real money.
No, if you pay a lot of utilities or rent on card. Both are excluded from rewards and carry their own fees here.
Check the Priority Pass position before year three — the membership lasts two years and the fee does not reduce.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the annual fee of the Titan SBI Card? ₹2,999 plus GST, on joining and renewal. The renewal fee is reversed at ₹3,00,000 of annual spend. Note that store-to-store transfers and cash withdrawals do not count towards that calculation.
What is the reward rate at Titan stores? 7.5% cashback at World of Titan, Taneira, Titan Eye+, Helios, Fastrack, Skinn, Irth and Sonata; 5% cashback at CaratLane, Mia and Zoya; and 3% as Titan gift vouchers at Tanishq.
What are the quarterly caps? ₹10,000 on the 7.5% band, ₹10,000 on the 5% band and ₹25,000 on the Tanishq band — maximum cashback figures, not spend figures. They are separate and sum to ₹45,000 a quarter. SBI's product page does not publish them; they come from its Titan FAQ.
What happens past a cap? The 6 Reward Points per ₹100 base rate continues — 1.5%. The band does not drop to zero.
What do I earn outside Titan stores? 6 Reward Points per ₹100 — 1.5%, uncapped. That is one of the strongest base rates in SBI's range and applies to all spend outside the excluded categories.
Is the Tanishq benefit cashback? No. Tanishq pays 3% as Titan gift vouchers redeemable at Titan stores, not as cash. The 7.5% and 5% bands do pay cashback.
What are the milestone benefits? A ₹5,000 gift voucher at ₹5 lakh of annual spend and a ₹10,000 voucher at ₹10 lakh — both redeemable only at exclusive Titan stores.
How long does the Priority Pass membership last? The first two years only, which SBI states explicitly. The four international lounge visits a year presumably lapse with it.
